Husband claims yesterdays hike was the best we have ever done in the Swabian Alps. I beg to differ but we did basically hike from ruins to ruins so of course he had to like it...
plus the weather was fantastic...
we had a large picnic...
we passed friendly horses and an old, old cemetery in the forest.
The second ruins we encountered were "Fort Rauber"...
it is only around 600 years old but look, it is perfect for playing hide and seek...
After about 9 miles we passed the "Oberlenninger Schloessle" (little castle of Oberlenningen) which now houses a paper museum. It was closed by the time we got there but we do intend to check it out another time.
