When In Hamburg, Germany...

for a weekend, go and see all the sights and do all the things that tourists do.

But afterwards, make sure to take the subway to the "Landungsbruecken"...

where you will wait at the dock #3 for the ferry #62 (subway/ferry ticket for all of Hamburg on Saturday or Sunday is only Euro 2, 95 for a group of up to 5 adults per day)...

...after 3 stops (if my memory serves me right) get out at the "Neumuehlen" and start walking along the beach...

...you will pass a few pubs and coffee shops but wait till you come to the very last two huts called  "Strandkiosk" and "Strandperle" where you have to get a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer and a hot dog. Sit in one of the chairs and watch the huge ships, heavy with cargo, pass by...

When you continue your walk along the Elbe, you will pass some of the most charming houses, built a long time ago for the sailors and their families.

You will pass a gigantic rock, called the "old Swede" who made its way to Northern Germany a long, long time ago...

...and more beautiful houses and their little gardens.

You will have a very hard time leaving...
