This picture has nothing to do with my post, I just liked it...our plane was parked next to this colorful aircraft at an airport, I already forgot which one, but its tail struck me as beautiful.
Anyhow, I was asked several times how my month of not buying anything went. It went horrible. I really tried but on the fourth day I succumbed and bought myself chocolate. I should have known that in winter, there is no way that I can go without chocolate. Daily chocolate.
I did refrain to buy myself coffee to go or flowers from the market ladies. I tried to avoid any department stores and shoe stores and boy, it sucked.
And then I was walking around an airport and the very nice sales person from the duty free shop who knows me (I might have shopped there before, ehm...) was running towards me whispering "I have only one left and they are sold out EVERYWHERE!!! It is the hottest color for spring! There are waiting lists at the Chanel stores!" 5 minutes later I was the proud owner of the very last Chanel nail colour "particuliere", a greenish, brown color. Very military like, which of course, won me over.
I had totally forgotten that it was still February and nail polish is not a necessity.
So, I am very much are in awe of somebody sticking to this for a month. A year...you have my absolute admiration.
