We hiked in the Black Forest today. We saw 4 snakes but could only take a picture of the smallest one...the bigger ones disappeared quickly into the grass. We had a picnic in the ruins of a small fort and, at the end, a huge piece of Black Forest cake in a coffee house.

Lovely photos. I spent a semester abroad in Germany and this brought back many happy memories hiking the trails. Would love to return someday to sample that black forest cake! Looks super yummy.
