Missouri Botanical Garden in St Louis

Founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw the Missouri Botanical Garden is the oldest of its kind in the United States. Shaw has always intended for it to be a place to display, study and enjoy plants. Today, locals still refer to the park as "Shaw's garden".

The park is sectioned in different gardens with themes like "Children's Garden", "Japanese Garden", "Ottoman Garden" and "Victorian District".

When visiting the park, one should definitely plan to stay for at least 3 hours. It is very hard to leave this place!
