We stood at the entrance of the Vincent van Gogh exhibit in Basel, Switzerland, right when the doors opened and were one of the first people in. Of the 864 paintings van Gogh painted, 70 are on display at Basel. Some of them are privately owned and can't normally be seen by the public.
We took our time and looked at our favorite paintings closely; daughter and I only set the alarm off once by getting too close.
By the time we left there were long lines in front of the museum, perfect timing for us to go and eat breakfast.
